About Carol Ivey
Carol is a retired English and Social Studies teacher in the Alternative Education department of Orange County Public Schools, working closely with high school students who have had difficulty in the normal school setting. She created the Hungarian Teaching Missions as an outgrowth of her teaching in a struggling Christian school in Szentendre, Hungary. For many years, she organized teaching teams to conduct summer English camps in fledgling Christian schools both in Szentendre and Eger, Hungary. Following a two year feasibility study for the creation of The Christ School at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, she served on the board of directors at that school for twelve years. As an active elder, she provided leadership for both the Divorce Recovery ministry and Singles Perspective, the ministry to single adults. She currently has the privilege of serving as Elder of Orlando Presbyterian Church, focusing on missions and evangelism. She is the proud mother of Jason and Courtney.
